Meetings with Remarkable Women

This project, funded by two SSHRC grants, explores the creative research of key women artists who collaborated with influential theatre innovator Jerzy Grotowski, Dr. Magnat's four years of embodied research and multi-sited fieldwork in Poland, Italy, France, and Denmark culminated in her monograph Grotowski, Women, and Contemporary Performance: Meetings with Remarkable Women (Routledge 2014) and her companion documentary film series (Routledge Performance Archive).
