Andrew Barr (BSc 1963 @ UBC) (MED 1969 @ UBC) is a retired University of South Australia lecturer. He is a scientist and landscape painter who records the fast disappearing images in nature found in the remote regions of South Australia when on biological surveys. He is a photo-journalist who combines photorealistic and impressionistic approaches to his paintings of the Australian outback. He has visited many varied areas since arriving in Australia in 1974.
