Focusing on Dads
I am especially proud of the work of my UBC team and our community collaborators in developing the Dads in Gear (DIG) program to support fathers' smoking cessation. This program, the 1st of its kind in the world, integrates smoking cessation with skills on fathering and physical activity to enable quitting, and advance the health of men and their families (www.dadsingear.ok.ubc.ca). Our research provides strong support for DIG’s novel, integrated approach.
