Passport to adventure

I chose to come to UBC from the UK for my PhD after spending some time looking at where to do research, which combined a really good place to work with a really good place to live. And play field hockey. Little did I know that I would become an academic, let alone a Cambridge don: the experience at UBC was instrumental in helping me with this. I benefitted from a University Graduate Fellowship and will always be grateful to UBC for providing this opportunity.
