World at your dormstep

Choosing to live on UBC’s Vancouver campus during my first year was an integral part of my university experience. I lived at Place Vanier residence in one of the international houses. I was one of only three Canadians on my floor– the rest students from around the world. I feel like I learned just as much through that living experience as I did in my academic endeavors that year, which hammers home that UBC, both inside and outside of the classroom, truly is a place of mind.
