Summer student to PhD student t Student leader

I first interacted with UBC when I came to Canada during my Undergraduate degree from Ireland. I wanted some experience working in a lab environment (Coop). I had such a great time I decided to come here for my graduate degree and started as a PhD student the year following my undergraduate. About three years into my PhD I got involved in some student politics, having one term as VP and another as President of the Graduate Student Society. This year I hope to finish at UBC, I will miss it dearly
