Volunteering as an Assessment Specialist in Tra Vinh

In 2013, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Tra Vinh University in Vietnam through the UBC Leave for Change Program. My placement was part of a larger project intended to reduce poverty through strengthening of post secondary education. My specific mandate was to strengthen local teachers’ capacity for test development. My experience there was unforgettable and to this day, the generosity and passion of my Vietnamese colleagues continues to inspire me in my work at UBC!
