My first memory of UBC
While working at the Royal BC Museum, field work brought me to Vancouver. My first visit to UBC was to photocopy field data sheets. What a beautiful campus I thought. It was 1982. I returned in 1987 to complete my Ph.D., studying bird song, and never left. Jobs include teaching biology and education; co-leading the campus-wide teaching support centre, volunteering and now, coordinating first year courses in Science and in Land and Food Systems keeps me busy. And it is still a beautiful campus!
