This is an exciting year for the University of British Columbia. You have reached two important milestones: a centennial as an institution, and a 10-year anniversary for UBC Okanagan.
The establishment of the Okanagan campus in 2005 brought a world-class university to the southern Interior. Since then, the campus has brought a number of high-demand professional programs to the Okanagan, including medicine, management and engineering. The new programs have created new opportunities for students from the Okanagan, B.C. and around the world.
The reputation of UBC Okanagan for excellence extends beyond the borders of the province. UBC is recognized around the globe, and it is one of the reasons that the university is consistently ranked among the top 40 in the world, and top three in Canada.

UBC has a long and proud history in British Columbia and will continue to be a “place of mind” for generations to come.
Congratulations on 100 years of leading the way in higher learning and creating positive change in our province.
