Equity crowdfunding and other forms of alternative finance are changing the way companies, communities and individual raise capital to fund things they care about. Equity crowdfunding is set to go live in Canada & the US in 2016 - nearly two years after New Zealand first moved. I've been very fortunate to be a part of seeing how financial technology facilitates and democratises capital raising.
