Arts Degree Equals Happy Life Pursuits

Not every life/career path follows a 5-year plan or a crazy climb to the top. My BA in English from UBC set the stage for a career as a community newspaper journalist and publisher, with the last 15 years spent in marketing and communications. I've ended up in a communications role at Vancouver Island University, which feels rather full circle. Through it all, I've had many chances to reflect back on on my undergrad years and see how they've led me to where I am right now. In a happy place.
