From Mexico to Canada: Road for better life?
In 2002 my wife and I came to Canada. My dream was to become an university professor. I spent eight years at UBC and got both my Ph.D. and my MA. After graduation, from 2010 to 2102, I was fortuned to work as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. Unfortunately, they did not renew my contract. Since July of 2012, I have been unemployed for three years. Like me, there are many UBC graduates, struggling to find jobs, and working in jobs just to pass by and pay their bills.
