The famous UBC cinnamon bun is still a favourite, but mostly a memory, because I never get there early enough to get one. My favourite student food memory is of a friendly food service worker who knew me as a regular, and asked if I thought students would like potato pancakes. I said I had never tried it. The next day she made me potato pancakes with a side of apple sauce & a side of sour cream. No cost. She wanted me to try it two ways. I've never forgotten the delicious taste or her kindness.
