In 1999, I found myself living in Cariboo House in Place Vanier. Cariboo House helped break down the walls that were holding me back from becoming who I am today. This was a byproduct of the friendships that I made under that brick and mortar roof. We came together from different backgrounds, socioeconomics, and cultures. Together we struggled, succeeded, grew up, and formed life-long friendships. We studied hard, played hard, and found laughter and friendships that endure to this day.
