The Road to Vienna

John Grahame and Buzz Holling were Professors at UBC. Both inspired me to work at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg, Austria as a Research Scholar. It was the chance of a life time to be a part of the great european transition and integration after the fall of communism and the iron curtain. In 1999 it was time for a change and I joined the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, where today I lead the Economic Policy Department.
