Learning for a lifetime, not just four years
I wasn't a particularly good student at the time owing to immaturity, moving to the UBC campus with a larger population than my hometown in Manitoba and not being prepared for the challenge of university study. What I did develop was the ability to learn for a lifetime, friendships that have endured despite geographic separation and fond memories of a unique time in my life. I have since achieved a Masters degree and conducted a successful career in the not for profit sector in Australia.
