Laramie Non-Discrimination Ordinance
As a member of the Laramie Non-Discrimination Task Force, I helped draft and pass a municipal ordinance prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in housing, employment, and public accommodations. The ordinance is the first local civil rights law in the State of Wyoming. Large crowds of supporters attended the Laramie City Council meetings in support of the new law, and other communities in the state are mobilizing to adopt similar ordinances.
