The UBC Restaurant

As a Consulting geologist, I get to travel to many out of the way parts of the world. On one trip to Henan China, we stopped for lunch in Anyang, a fairly large city in the north of Henan. Much to my surprise, the Restaurant had a large sign on front (in English) "UBC Restaurant". I have always wondered if it was an alumnus or perhaps a parent of an alumnus, who proudly chose the name !
