Lights
My first week,
I took a walk at night.
Down through West Mall,
Past city lights.
It was cold but that kind of refreshing cold.
I stopped in front of the greenhouse,
Unable to pass by.
I stared, really with not much thought,
Only filled with comfort and breath in my lungs.
Warm lights illuminating the night,
Green things living, growing, breathing.
My first week,
I didn't know where I was going.
Here, I remember that walk.
I didn't know where I was going.
But headed somewhere indeed.
