The accidental professor
As a refugee from the dying commercial fishing industry, I found myself in first Family Studies and then in adult education. I became an adult educator that specialized in supporting others forced to leave the work on the west coast in fishing logging and other endeavors they loved esp. the First Nations community. I spent the last 30 years supporting Aboriginal Education at various levels, the last 14 at the U of Manitoba. Just a few more to graduate now....and I am home free back in BC!
