I can remember hobbling into the McMillan Building September 1974. I started Forestry four years after graduating from high school. At 22 I was a little older than most of my cadre but unfortunately no wiser. After a summer of fighting forest fires I'd celebrated a little to much and seriously sprained my ankle. I can still remember clearly standing in the plaza surrounded by the sample trees from around the world wondering what four years in this building were going to bring.
