Third Year Agriculture Field Trip
One of the most impactful events of my undergrad years at UBC/ Faculty of Agricultural Sciences/ Food Science in the mid 1970s was a 4 day trip that all aggies were required to take at the beginning of third year. We visited agricultural businesses from Surrey to Kelowna to Lytton to learn about the industry. As I did not grow up in a rural environment, this was a very informative few days. I recall learning a lot about how public policy affected agriculture.
