Critical awareness: A treasure UBC gave me
The thing I treasure most from my experience at UBC is the critical awareness I gained, particularly when it comes to the history and current issues surrounding Canada's relationship with its indigenous peoples. I will never forget the reading of "Helen Betty Osborne" by one of my professors in my first semester at UBC and how it moved me. I am so glad for the ways that UBC sensitized me and made me aware of justice issues in my everyday experience.
