First Day, First Friends

I met three lifelong friends in my first week at UBC in 1998. First, during orientation, I met Vicki and Edith in my group. I'll never forget Vicki's memorable entrance, fashionably late, carrying a small suitcase and wearing a large sunhat, her sundress wrapped in a large man's white button down shirt. The next day, I took a seat in Latin 100 next to Sylvia and the rest is history. In 2010, I was her maid of honour and 2013, she was a bridesmaid at my wedding. UBC connected us and I am grateful
