Never Too Old to Learn Something New

I learned to dance at the age of 19 for the first time through the UBC Swing Kids. I knew people who were younger than me who have been dancing for years with far more talent. I felt that I lacked in the whole hand-eye coordination department– that I should be buying two left shoes just to make a point. The awkwardness of being 19 was overwhelming and it was terrifying to try something knowing that I would be horrible at it starting out. UBC Swing Kids taught me confidence and a love for music.
