UBC changed my life!

Having in 1964 been awarded a National Research Council scholarship, I travelled by P&O ship from Fremantle, Australia arriving in Vancouver in Sept. ‘65 to commence an MASc degree by course work and research thesis. I lived on campus at Lower Mall (now Place Vanier). There in the dining hall I met my future wife Karen Leith (BA ‘65). I enjoyed International House and the Graduate Centre. Upon graduating I was employed as an engineer by BCTel (Telus) then Telecom Australia and PWC. Retd. 2017.
