Joining the Ubyssey Student Newspaper--- A Fraternity of Writers

The Ubyssey student newspaper provided me the thrill of first seeing my work in print. I had just been at UBC a few weeks when I answered an ad for new reporters. The formidable City Desk Editor grilled me, “Just what makes you think you can write?” It’s a challenge I’ve tried to meet ever since.
