Alma Mater Bursary

I could not believe that I received the Alma Mater Society of a Bursary for 350 dollars. At that time, it was a month wages. I used it to take the Evelyn Woods Speed reading course, and my comprehension shot up to 95% of written materials. Concurrently, my marks shot up in my 4th year to 2nd and 1st class marks. I was never so pleased and rewarded with such a gift, as I was married and had two children to support. At that time, I lived at Keremeos Court, married residence. Thank you, UBC.
