UBC welcomed Sopron Forest University

In 1956 October 23 Hungarians revolted against the Russians. After the revolution was crushed sopron forest university escaped to Austria. UBC gave home to our university and we started classes in 1957. The last class graduated in 1961. This group was the most successful refugee group in Canadian history. Thank you Canada thank you UBC.
