Living in residence was the best decision

My parents lived in Vancouver while I was at UBC and yet they encouraged me to live in residence to fully embrace the university experience. I remember running into a classmate from high school on campus one day and we asked each other what our plans were for the evening - I was heading out with a group of new friends to a social event and they were heading home to their parents' house in Vancouver. I was so happy to have a well rounded experience at university - study and social in one package!
