A Slip of the Hand
On my first day of Medical School we attended the anatomy lab to begin work in dissection. While working my hand slipped and I stabbed my knuckle into the blade of a scalpel. I took myself off to the ER at UBC Hospital to have a few stitches. I was so pumped up with pride and excited to announce to the ER Doc that I was a medical student. He was thoroughly disinterested and went about his work. As I headed back to class I fainted, bang, onto the concrete in the parking lot.
