Finding my place
In 2011, I moved across the country leaving behind everyone and everything that I knew in Montreal. I was a stranger in Vancouver and felt very much alone. However, the close knit community of students and professors in my program fostered a sense of camaraderie and family. With the expanded professional network that I gained during co-op terms I landed a permanent job in Vancouver. Because of UBC, I have finally found a place I can call home.
