The Big Wake Up.

Turning thirty while doing my masters was one of mixed emotions. Relieved to be making self-guided changes to my life and my career, but at the same time terrified. It really made me question everything: was I smart enough (or just deluded); had I just thrown away a life of ease and security? I came to realise it was curiosity, integrity and discipline not ordinarily smartness that mattered. UBC truly awoke me to a new sense of living and thinking.
