From France to the West Coast of Canada
Left my home country in the 80’s to settle in Vancouver, near the ocean and coastal mountains. Worked as a translator before starting my PhD at UBC where I truly enjoyed my 5 years studying French linguistics, had my first daughter while in graduate school. Graduated in 1995, worked at SFU (French) until 2001, went sailing for a year, then moved to UVIc in 2002. Now a Full Professor at UVic. Always love to reconnect to UBC.
