ARRIVNG AT THE UBC CAMPUS 1969
I had never been more than 365 miles from Montreal.
I got a drive-away car to drive from Montreal to attend graduate School at the Cancer Research Centre/UBC. I was always awed walking across the campus and staring at the North Shore Mountains.
I was a teaching assistant in my first year and got an National Cancer Institute scholarship my second year. I was also a Residence Don at Fort Campus and taught taught Grades 11 and 12 Biology at St. George's HS in this last year as a F/T student.
