My Life After UBC
My first job was in Haida Gwaii (QCI) doing ecological classification. Completing my thesis from Sandspit in the pre-internet days was challenging. After 3 years, I left for a job in the research and land use planning advisory team of MacMillan Bloedel in Nanaimo. This eventually led to research positions with Weyerhaeuser and Western Forest Products, including 4 years in Campbell River. Since 2010, I've been at Vancouver Island Univ. teaching forest ecology. I also carve birds & play guitar.
