UBC helped shape me into the adult I've become

I grew up in a strict immigrant household and moving to Vancouver to attend UBC, 4000 km away from my hometown, was a huge adjustment. My experience living on campus in 1st year and on serving on the Student Administrative Council (SAC) for 2 years, as well as the friends I made at school, helped me become the person I am today.
